This tour begins with a train ride or overland from the Pacific Ocean to the calm waters of the Caribbean Sea. Leaving the Panama-Colon highway and reach the town of Portobelo, we can see beautiful green landscapes, full of ups and spectacular views along the coast and the sea. Portobelo on a sleepy town full of colonial history, where you will feel transported back in time. Here you will find up to 5 colonial fortifications where cannons still point to the bay. Portobelo is also home to the statue of the Black Christ, which according to legend has divine powers that have allowed prevent the statue has been stripped away. Other monuments are: The Custom House built in 1640 and the Hospital Chapel in 1597.
