What is the Peace of Mind guarantee?

Xcarent will reimburse the amount paid up to $10,000 in connection with tours they booked through Xcarent Payments, if (a) the tour does not match the description, (b) the Guest cannot take the tour, (c) payment was made properly but not received by the correct Tour Manager. Who is covered?

We cover anyone who pays for a tour through Xcarent Payments, a secure credit card processing service that we offer to our users. Simply tell the tour manager you would like to pay via Xcarent Payments. Please note that this specifically does not include wire transfers, bank transfers, or any processor other than Xcarent Payments product. What types of losses are covered?

This policy covers tour payment losses as a direct result of internet fraud, inability to access your tour, material misrepresentations of the tour or wrongful withholding of security deposits.

 

What losses are excluded?

If they are not specifically included in the covered losses above, then they are excluded. Here are a few examples of losses that are not covered: payments made in cash or instant transfers that cannot be verified (i.e. Western Union or Moneygram); payments to relatives; losses that are out of our control such as natural disaster, theft, bodily injury, or criminal activity; cleanliness, maintenance, or inconvenience; losses associated with a breach of tour agreement or cancellation policy; and any travel related losses other than the base tour (i.e. reimbursement for flights, cars, lodging, or other travel expenses).

 

What is necessary to process a reimbursement claim?

Please provide a summary of your claim and include documentation of the reservation you made through Xcarent with evidence of the losses you incurred to our claims department. A Care Representative will follow up with detailed instructions on the next steps.

 

Anything else I should know about the Peace of Mind guarantee?

If you receive a warning about a particular tour listing on Xcarent, and you choose to disregard this message, you’ll be taking your own risks if something goes wrong. Keep records of your payments and communication; this will expedite any claims process. If there is something wrong with the tour upon check-in, please let us know as soon as possible. If you do not, we will assume that the tour meets your reasonable expectations.
